Debt Collection Assistance Officer (DCAO)
DCAOs help with resolving debt collections due to unpaid TRICARE claims. The debt must be in collections or listed on your credit report.
Unpaid TRICARE claims occur when military personnel or their dependents get medical care in the private/civilian sector (referred out to the network), get a bill from the private provider, they have submitted their claim to TRICARE, but TRICARE has failed to pay the bill. For assistance with TRICARE claims, contact the Regional TRICARE Office at 1-877-451-8659.

If your health care needs are outside the hospital capabilities, you may be referred to receive care in the United States. Your specialty care or primary care provider will make a referral that is facilitated by the hospital Referral Manager. Currently (February 25, 22) the hospital's RM is off-island and may be contacted via email at email@example.com. Please allow 48 business hours to receive a response.
Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE)
ICE is a web-based tool that collects your feedback on services at this facility. Each of our clinics has it's own ICE survey which can be found within the clinics or on each clinic's web page. If you would like to complete a survey about the hospital, you may complete here.
The Joint Commission
Survey results are used to determine whether, and the condition under which, accreditation, should be awarded to USNH GB. We are periodically surveyed by The Joint Commission, surveys are unannounced. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about the quality of care and/or the safety of the environment in which it is provided at USNH Guantanamo Bay may contact TJC with these concerns. Base residents now have a way to safely dispose of sharps, lancets and needles. A sharps disposal container
is now available 24/7 in front of the hospital. The bin can be used to safely dispose of all sharps including injector pens. Place sharps into a sealed container, especially designed for safely disposing of sharps materials (see below picture). If you don’t have one of these containers, put your sharps into any thick and sealable plastic container ,
before dropping into the sharps disposal bin.
For the safety of those maintaining the bin, please, do not drop loose needles or sharps of any kind, or non-conforming* materials into the bin.
